Best fish & chips!
It's like being on Mars. Just amazing.
I guess that was the largeur waterfall we saw in our trip!
A very nice U shaped cliff!
Pretty cliff view with puffins and seagulls. A bit foggy, but that added to the atmosphere.
Brunch at Amsa & Oli's. 5/5 stars!
A quick drink and a round of 'Kuhhandel' before the bar closes at 11.
Visiting Asma & Oli! Great to see our friends again after parting our ways in Bayreuth half a year ago. We got greeted with an amazing dish with mashed potatoes/beet and icelandic pony.
Another beautiful waterfall. A bit rainy and many tourists but still pretty.
Pretty small suspension bridge next to a small forest.
Camping in a ski area
Amazing waterfalls, we were able to get nice and up close!
Charmingly funny and disturbing at the same time!
Amazing view and we had the tubs all to ourselves!
We arrived after everyone was already in their tents. ## Morning update ## It was a very windy night. The van got wiggled around quite a bit.
My happy place : a soft sandy beach with clear blue 🌊 and 🌞
Amazing waterfall to see in person. It's so wide!
Three pools. 2 man made and one natural. One hotter than the other with the natural being the hottest!
Nice roadside waterfall
Our campsite for tonight! Time for a warm lentil soup before 💤😴
We visited the most western place in Iceland. It's quite a drive over bumpy and muddy roads. But the views we got along the way and at the destination were definitely worth it. We saw giant cliffs ...
Museum (closed while we were there) with many old airplanes, firefighting trucks and other stuff. Even an old soviet airplane in the hangar which we wouldn't access. Very impressive to see!
A surprising yellow soft sandy beach ⛱️
Oldest steel ship in Iceland! Cool place to see (and get inside 🤫🤫 😇)
A nice warm (38˚C) hot pot with view of the ocean. Amazing place, free and not even too busy. The slightly rainy weather made it even more enjoyable.
Nice campsite, already very full when we arrived at 1:30 at night. Got woken up at 9:20 in the morning to pay. But all fair! And nice warm 🚿
Game of thrones 🏔️ ! And a cute coincidence 👰🏻♀️🤵🏻♀️😂
I personally liked it! A natural sparkling water 🥤 now we are immortal 🪄
We saw a couple of cute seals 🦭 🦭 ! And a nice sunset as a bonus ;)
Surreal! Red lava dessert
Beautiful waterfall with two amazing river crossings. The first over a log and the second one we had to conquer barefoot. The water was cold, but definetly worth to take the shoes and socks off for...
A day well spent at the capital: Like real tourists, we started the morning with a short stroll along the corniche to reach the market. After some shopping we enjoyed fish and chips and a tradition...
Shark, Puffins, Whale & Reindeer hotdog.
Guinness!
A very cool 4D cinematic experience of how volcanoes errupt with real footage shot in Iceland. They also had a cool photobooth you could use before the movie started!
Amazing brutalist church design. It's definetly something else.
Local market, only open on weekends. There was homemade jewelry, knitted pullovers, earrings and second hand things. Nice to see and different from all the usual tourist shops in the city. Didn't e...
After a relaxing day, we continued our journey to reach Reykjavik. Back to civilization !! This time we cooked dinner at the campsite/hostel communal kitchen and enjoyed a bit the chillout room bef...
What a cool private place! Despite being under construction this small family business spa is amazing! We were lucky we had it all to ourselves and enjoyed a nice mud bath :)
After 100+km hike over the last week, time to be pampered by being soaked in a hot geothermal pool 💆🏻♀️ the perfect weather and sun were the cherry on top ☀️ now it feels like a real holiday 😂
Such a cool experience to see the Geysir erupting! I guess we were lucky and the first one we saw was quite strong!
Our home for the night. Heated toilets and running water. Nothing else needed!
How many elephants can you spot???
We expected Puffins and were not disappointed. So many to see, but they're a bit shy so difficult to get close to for taking pictures. But managed to get some anyways.
On top of the vulcano that errupted in 1973, burning 400+ homes and expanding the landmass of the island by 2 square kilometer.
Check in on our way to the Westmann Island
Our stay for the night before taking the ferry in the morning to Vestmannaeyjaber
Crashed airplane
Amazing trip on one of icelands glaciers. We even had a private tour because we were the only ones that booked the tour. As cherry on top we go to do a little bit of ice climbing.
Seems deserted but also secluded, perfect for a night. Tomorrow morning is an early start for a glacier expedition.
Pretty in the sunlight
First day with sunny weather and we get a beautiful ocean view with it as well!
Very touristy, nice cave, but compared to what we've already seen so far, meh.
Beautiful Tour we did into an ice cave. Quite pretty, even if just short. We drove there in a big Mercedes Sprinter with the offroad wheels.
Amazing campsite surrounded by hills on all sides. The path to here was crazy bumpy, but still doable in an 2WD car. After the 15km long bumpy ride we arrived to this beautiful secluded place and s...
Katla, one of the most active volcano in Iceland, it's eruption 🌋 is overdue with high risk of flooding since it is sub glacier. Such a beautiful unicef Geopark to visit after the lava show.
Beautiful beach, especially with the moody, foggy vibe.
Amazing experience, as close to the real deal as possible without actually having an active vulcano. A lot of background information on icelandinc vulcanoes and how things are they way they are in ...
Lava stone field. Not that impressive but still nice to see, and the first payed toilet (400 ISK) we've come across.
Iceland be nice, let's have some 🌞 ☀️ and less ☔🌧️ 🌬️ please ?
Cool to have a quick view. It goes on forever!
So the plan today is to go easy and take a break from long steep hikes. A nice 20mins hike rewarded with the nice views :)
Another beautiful waterfall just 1 min away from our campsite. Did we mention the heated toilets in last night campsite ;)
After a hike and an hour drive we arrive at the campsite. No reception anywhere. So we just park and see what the next morning brings.
After looking at the base of the glacier from closeup we decided to have a nice hike up on the mountain on the side of the glacier to get a better look from above. Also, as a bonus the route inclu...
Closeup view of the glacier. And we were even able to walk on a bit of the ice on the end of the glacier!
Nice 10% incline to the top. Unbelievable views. I think the most stunning views so far.
After checking the iceberg on 💎 beach, here was a complete different feeling. It was incredible to just watch the still icebergs in the lake 💆🏻♀️. We even took amazing shots with the drone! (🙊...
After checking the pictures taken by the camera, we wer able to detect the GPS of the pictures where I still had the hat. This way we were able to narrow down the location where I probably have los...
I already feel behind in sharing the amazing views and sceneries we saw so far in this beautiful organic island! I would name day 1 waterfalls, day 2 beach and day 3 (half day) icebergs. Each has i...
Big pieces of glacier!
We shared the parking spot with a group of Swiss friends that camped in tents
On our way to Höfn we encountered a woman standing by the side of the road, we stopped and asked what way she was heading. Sadly it was the other direction than we were going. After we stopped in H...
Cute little fisher town. We mainly used it to discard of our trash. It was rainly so we just had a quick look and then drove onward.
A Chair. Of the red kind.
Beautiful waterfall, short walk from the parking. The cave is giving it a nice framing!
Gorgeous!
Neat waterfall we could walk right up to.
Lovely hike to the waterfall, amazing geological features.
Today was literally a bit more shaky :) we had a nice stop at the Faro islands harbor and already experienced the strong wind! Well I guess we can say we are ready now :p and Iceland see you tomorr...

Before heading on the 2-day ferry trip we visited one nice location, a lighthouse in Denmark. This lighthouse would've falling into the sea because dunes were moving land inwards, but the lighthous...
You've reached the end, or actually, the beginning of our journey.
